Roeder warns of more planned violence
Edited on Sun Jun-07-09 12:37 PM by Contrary1
This is the entire article folks. A few lousy paragraphs. Why aren't the right wingers advocating torture to extract more info from Roeder?

I mean, come on. How many times have you heard the "If torturing a terrorist saves one life, I'm all for it"?

I think we're in for a long violent summer.

"WICHITA, Kan. (Map, News) -
A man charged in the shooting death of a Kansas abortion provider claims more violence is possible.

Scott Roeder called The Associated Press on Sunday from the Sedgwick County jail where he's being held on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault in the death of Dr. George Tiller.

Tiller was killed last Sunday while serving as an usher at the Lutheran church he attended in Wichita.

Roeder told the AP he know of "similar events planned around the country" as long as abortion is legal."

14. I'd say let him keep talking
Not only is he helping the state assemble an even more air-tight case against him, but he isn't doing his fellow domestic terrorists any favors either by singing like a canary.

for the past two days, and needed his sleep apnea machine..."

:wtf: So, how did he contact the AP today?

5. So at this point he has made a "Terroristic Threat"
against targets in America. Enough already it is time for the DOJ to get knee deep into these groups and start taking them down.

7. He's not that bright, is he?
Even if the phone call wasn't being recorded, which I assume they were, what the heck did Roeder think was going to happen when he said that more events were planned to the Associated Press? That they were going to just sit there on that information?

Sounds to me like Mr. Roeder is...

...a few lightbulbs short of a pack.
...a few cards light of a full deck.
...a few cans short of a 12 pack.

...and so on.

We don't let them off on insanity charges, neither should we let Christian terrorists off.

10. What does he think--that we're suddenly going to reverse Roe because
of a crazy man?

Think again, Mr. Roeder. Just because you're a murderous psychopath doesn't mean we're afraid of you.

17. That's what all terrorists think!
If Roeder was a Palestinian who assassinated an Israeli person who opposed his cause, and who went on to say that there would be more violence by others on his side if they didn't get their way; the world would call him a terrorist.

30. But, all the Operation Rescue folks said he was a lone nut
Not connected with anyone, anywhere at anytime. Roeder's obviously talking about some time in the unspecified future when he's out of prison. See, the first murder just sort of happened. The next one will be premeditated. So Kansas can let him go now, right?

27. I suppose, but

I'd like to seem him and his organizations treated and investigated as terrorists or have the domestic terrorism section of the patriot act shit-canned (or both?).

He was part of the Freemen, hoped in car with explosives and headed for Montana where the FBI was in a standoff with the Freemen for like six months. Gets pulled over and gets a judicial finger shook at him, 24 months probabation. Violates terms of that by continuing to associate with Freemen. Goes to Kansas prison until his entire conviction is thrown out on a "bad search" of his vehicle. This is a year after the OKC bombing when he gets caught with the explosives and bomb making materials.

Does he lay low for the next 10 years? Doesn't seem like it from what little facts have come out. FBI and locals should have been all over this guy. They weren't, now he's giving interviews? Yeah I'd say he has friends in LE. I should investigate his uncle a bit, who came foward as "family spokesman." On the board of a hospice association and former real estate exec. Maybe he has some pull or something.

23. But, but, but, we do NOT have cells in this country
so tells me some folks at DU.

Though the fact that he's even talking tells me he forgot lesson one of OpSec.

But yes, we do have a TERRORIST movement in the US... time people wake up to that reality. And yes it is run by WHITE, mostly, Christian Identity people....

And no, this does not mean most christians are bad people or radicals but a FEW are... clear enough?
