Poor People Should Look for Work Elsewhere - so says Chuck DeVore

Poor People Should Look for Work Elsewhere
GOP: California's for the Rich

"When you have an unemployment rate as high as it is in this state, it should be a signal to people to look for jobs in other states with more jobs and a lower cost of living. . . We have had policies subsidizing poverty in this state for years, and we can't keep doing that."

This statement from California Republican State Assemblymember Chuck DeVore (R-Irvine) pretty much sums up the Republican political philosophy in a nutshell.

-interesting snip-

Republicans will predictably try to block any attempts to create new revenue options by using the two-thirds majority budget rule to hold the state hostage once again. Their apparent goal is to transform the Golden State into a Third World country.

Fortunately, it seems that the people of California are now on to this tactic, and it will be Republicans who will be held to blame should legislators again fail to craft a balanced budget based on progressive taxation.

That’s assuming that Democrats, who are in the majority, develop the requisite backbone to stand firm this time around.

1. Amazing how that Reagan lie continues after all these years thats proven
moving to another state isn't an answer as even states with a high job supply will dry up with an influx of workers. Stupid ass pukes, never learn.

2. So, when the poor leave, who is going to cook for, clean up
after, serve, tend to and pamper the rich assholes?

The GOP never think that far ahead. For example, all the corporations who have outsourced our jobs overseas never thought that, eventually, none of us would be able to afford their piddly product because we have no jobs.

3. Reminds me of an exchange I heard outside a supermarket where some
homeless men were panhandling. A guy, no doubt a Republican, yelled at one of the homeless men to go get a job. The homeless man retorted that this was his job. These conservatives are either really stupid and don't get the realities around them or they figure that they got theirs and the hell with everyone else. People who are comfortably off, rationalize the poverty around them by blaming the poor for being poor instead of looking at what the politicians that they vote into office are doing to help the poor stop being poor. I hope that every Republican politician in California gets voted out of office in the future.

4. What a way to mount a campaign against Boxer
but then, again, this is why the Republicans lost all state offices (Arnold was not elected because he has an R after his name).

They are so clueless that it is amazing that they cannot understand why no one wants them.

Just hop on a slow moving freight train.

Ah! 1932! Those were the good old days!
