Dear Pro-Lifers,

Well, I hope you're happy now. Another doctor has been murdered. You "condemn" it, you say. Yeah, right. You throw out your threats, venom, and overheated rhetoric for years, and then piously fold your hands and simper and say you don't condone the violence it provokes. You didn't put the gun in Scott Roeder's hand, but you might as well have done.

Just what do you think this will do to advance your cause? Do you really believe that murder, supposedly in the name of saving unborn babies, will win support? Murder in the name of saving babies -- the cognitive dissonance it requires to buy into that logic is simply beyond me. Violence only alienates moderates like myself who may have some sympathy for your position but are not interested in spending a perfectly good afternoon standing in front of a clinic with tape over their mouths.

Dr. George Tiller is dead, and quietly you rejoice. I had never even heard of him before, but now I am seriously considering making a donation to Planned Parenthood in his memory. Again, I hope you're happy. You just created another hard-core pro-choicer.
