Good for you. I don't. I watch other things. But that is just me.
Does not mean I can't see your view point or respect it.
I don't own a gun either (though I did for a spell when I was a deputy and armed guard back in the day). And I can see the points of people that do.
I don't own a business, but I can sure understand why some who do want the right to determine what is allowed there and what isn't.
I don't have a mental illness, but have been there. Can see why people in such a situation might have issues working/etc and can respect their point of view.
I don't have a debilitating disease like my X does, but I can see how it affects her life and others and be sympathetic to her issues.
I am not gay. My best friend is though, and I can see how not being able to marry, dadt, etc have all had a negative effect on his life. And I can support him in it all and his cause.
I am just me. A guy who has spent his life studying theology, science, trying to do the right thing and at times failing. Enjoying the things I do to make the time go by. Trying, not always succeeding, in living my life my way. And hoping that others can theirs.
A big tent is made up of a lot of smaller tents inside of it.
And outside of that big tent are those who want to, one by one, destroy ours and bring down the big one we have found shelter in.
Be you. Love you. Fight for the things that are important you, and I hope you will do so for the rest of us in this tent - and we will try hard to do the same.
As a progressive I accept you for you, and I ask the same back. Be who you are, just don't go making laws to make me more like you are, and I will fight so that others don't do the same thing to you.
You don't have to accept me, or even like me. Just let me live this one life I have here as me. And I promise I will do the same for you.
