Does Newt Gingrich have something to hide about the Iraq war?
Edited on Tue May-19-09 03:51 PM by icymist
It seems that Newt has been seen going into the Pentagon quite a few times when the Vice President Cheney was looking for information, any information, linking Iraq with Al Quadia. Newt has been seen to pressure for information as regard this alliance. Now Newt is pressuring the current Speaker of the House to resign. Why Newt? Why are you so vocal in this unless there's a role you have played to get the connection between Iraq and Al Quadia.

Let's put it this way: What did Newt know about the torture and when did he know it?

on edit for spelling.

2. Think back to 2002 thru 2004. What GOPs and bigname Dems were used to support Bush publically
Edited on Tue May-19-09 03:58 PM by blm
especially in the selling of the war to DC lawmakers. We know the GOPs were an easy sell....but, what 'in the loop' Dems were used to sell war to other Dems?

What big name politicians were tapped to back up Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld's war strategies, including torture? After all, we had Kerry out there calling for Rumsfeld to get the boot THREE TIMES in 2003-4, and no big name Dems would stand with him on that even though he was the Dem nominee at the time. NOTHING. Always found time to get on news shows to back up and defend Bush's decision to invade, though, as they stayed mostly silent about his decision to torture.

3. I'm not sure what happened to the 'bigname Dems" back then...
But I do see Gingrich 'pressuring' the Pentagon to (whatever he was trying to find) a link for Iraq and Al Quaida. We now know that waterboarding was used for the purpose of linking these two. I can't see that Newt wasn't calling on the Pentagon for any other reason at this time. Besides, he was the a former Speaker, wouldn't that mean a special clearance to even enter these discussions at the Pentagon?

lawmakers on the rightness of supporting Bush's decisions on Iraq. Not to mention his summer2004 booktour that he used to vigorously defend Bush's decisions and strategy to go into Iraq as part of the War on Terror.

There were ALOT of powerful people using their powers of persuasion for NO GOOD.
