1. I know a wacko in Weatherford TX who said her town's tea party had

over two thousand people. The town has only 20 some thousand residents. Rural Texas must be one hell of a bastion for right wing nutcases.

2. Unfortunately, there is some truth to that

Our district in Dallas was represented in Congress for 26 years by the very able Martin
Frost. Then came Delay's gerrymander, and suddenly our part of Dallas was lumped in with
some rural Bible belt areas outside town. So now we are represented by the dim-witted
and very reactionary Pete Sessions. But we have by no means a monopoly on rural right
wing nut cases. The Michigan Militia is by no means from our neck of the woods.
