Sorry to whomever I took this photo from, but I feel that it's very telling.

1. What's telling is that nobody is giving him a WTF look.

2. Nope. He seems to be very well accepted there.
No sign of disruption at all. Nobody confronting him, asking him to take his racist sign and leave, etc.

8. while you're probably engaging a troll, keep in mind...
He did manage to factually counter your Republican teabag moron with a countervaling Republican teabag moron.

I just worry, based on the tea party turn out rates, that there won't be enough Republican teabag morons to go around.

11. 1 + 1
= 2 teabagged suckers.

One's a racist, one's trying to conflate Keynesian economics with slavery. One's evil & dumb & the other's just dumb without being evil. The point is that it's silly to paint the whole tea party movement with the racism brush (as the OP seems to be trying) when what it really is a bunch of knuckleheads being conned by a desperate right wing establishment trying to start any old kind of brush fire.

12. was the man with the debt = slavery sign
a tea bagger??
i think the argument can be made that our system makes
it extremely hard for the "ordinary" american
to escape debt once they're in that position.

13. Hard compared to what?
I'm a history teacher. I can't think of very many societies in which it's been easier to work one's way out of debt. It's never easy of course. It's debt, after all--you gotta pay the whole thing back. But there are plenty of good alternatives toward getting rid of the money you owe in our society. And historically Americans have among the lowest real interest rates in the world. Of course it's pretty easy to get into debt in our society, too. But at least that's a choice one makes.

14. no, not everyone chooses to go into debt.
sorry.
one trip to the emergency room and its very likely i
could go in debt, possibly by no fault of my own.
without medical insurance many people face the possibility of
debt everyday.

7. So you really think that picture is the same as someone holding a "WHITE SLAVERY" picture?
Epic fail.

6. There's a variety of disgruntled embeciles that will be attracted
or rather distracted by the Astroturf ginned up, Fox-fueled idiocy du jour.

Try to remember this moment next time you see some LaRouche nutjob at a Democratic Party function.
