Can I watch Prime Time BBC stuff here in the USA? I mean the stuff people in England watch every evening like we watch in Prime Time? Seems like I should be able to.

1. Unfortunately, no
We get BBC America, which has reruns of "Are you being served yet" and other hits from the Nixon administration.

You'd think they'd give us the same access to their shows that we give to ours....

3. It's not quite that dire....
Alot of 'entertainment' shows (Top Gear being the absolute best) but it is not the current line-up that is displayed at home...

The evening news is worth watching though as it presents a wonderful alternative to the shit being peddled by the 'major' networks over here..

12. True about the news, although I'm more of a CBC fan
But BBC is still miles beyond any American news outlets, save KO :)

14. Ah -
well, with excellent snark like that, you'd fit right in - and I say that with admiration! I go and read the BBCA forums when I need an (evil) laugh at Garth Ancier's expense. They tried for quite some time to 'control' the boards, to no avail. I figure they'll either start paying attention to the complaints or shut down the forums . . .

2. Some of the programs can be found online after they air in the UK.

The Red Dwarf mini-series that aired this last weekend, for example. Check some of the better bittorrent sites.

There is a "BBC America" channel on some digital cable and satellite systems, but I'm not sure of the content.

We dropped twenty channels of movies to have something with more substance.

8. Did you know that Firefox has an IE add-on that allows you to
use sites that require IE without using IE? It's an efficient emulator (works for the site you posted - just tried it!)

9. Coolness; what's the name? I'll have to see if it works with the Linux version of Firefox...
If I could, I'd just run IE itself, but I haven't been able to get it to work under Linux.

It's very stable. Link: http://ietab.mozdev.org/

I'm not sure about Linux, but the developer seems to be very responsive, so you might trying dropping him a message and asking if it will work!
