War vets help stop Hays County, TX road contract

Gregory Foster said his first foray into Hays County politics started as a whim, but a whim was all it took for Foster and his friend Bryan Hannah to voice their opposition to a $600,000 road contract.

"We got ready, we spent 30 seconds Googling dirt on KBR and the next morning we went to court," Hannah said.

"I just don't like the way they handle their business in Iraq, and Afghanistan mainly," Hannah said.

Because of allegations the company faces in Iraq, he told commissioners that KBR isn't the type of company he thought the county should support.

Citing ongoing federal investigations, commissioners agreed and rescinded the contract.
