'Mr. Poopy Pants' and fees frustrate flyers
CNN

(CNN) -- There was a time when airline travel was a special treat, the kind of occasion that inspired passengers to dress up.

Now, the awe people once felt about flying through the clouds is tempered by additional fees, cramped seats and horrifying tales of fellow travelers.

Take, for instance, "Mr. Poopy Pants" -- a grown man who allegedly soiled himself 10 minutes into a flight from Florida to Minnesota. And then he just sat there.

"We've all had our flying hell experiences," said Gregg Rottler, creator of FlightsFromHell.com.

The site provides a venue for people to share their tales of woe, said Rottler. "It's therapeutic ... so it benefits them and provides entertainment value for others."

Rottler, a 54-year-old environmental health supervisor in Tampa, Florida, launched the site more than two years ago. Since then, FlightsFromHell.com has attracted submissions from passengers and flight attendants that have run the gamut, touching on categories that include "odors," "attendant issues," "weird people," and "luggage and delays."

1. When people weren't screaming in panic they were projectile vomiting all over the aircraft.

2. I used to work a retail job, and I think that guy came in on a regular basis.
Seriously. We even called him "Mr. Poopy Pants" or maybe "Professor Poopy Pants".

Small World.

4. At least Poopy Pants paid for a ticket
You can get the same sensation from people who bring babies on to the aircraft. They'll even change them right next to you. Or, maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones who endures a cross-country flight of screaming, crying, and kicking your seatback.

And isn't it wonderful, 'lap' babies ride free!

Well, it's either that, or let them sit in it, a lot of the time. Because the planes are jam packed, the "fasten seat belt" sign is used for crowd control, the aisles are invariably full of food/drink carts, you can't line up at the front restroom and probably the back one is out of order...

Yeah, yeah, I know how much some people hate having kids on airplanes. Trust me- as a parent, I would rather have a root canal than take a baby or a toddler on a plane. It's not something I relish doing to myself, much less them or anyone else. But sometimes you don't have a choice. And we ALWAYS buy seats for our kids; no way in hell do I think it's safe for those "lap babies", no sir.

But you know what? I've seen the worst in behavior from both kids AND adults on airplanes in my many years, and the thing is, the adults should know better. And no matter what disgusting thing a baby or toddler can do, be it bodily function or whatever- it's WAY more disgusting when an adult does it. Hell, I've had grown men "kick my seatback" all the way across the country. I had a 350lb Korean Man with Kimchee on his breath sleep on my shoulder and lovingly grope me all the way to Europe, once. (that was fun)

The bottom line is, flying SUCKS these days. You could get all the kids off the planes, and it would STILL suck.

6. The worst behavior awards belong to adults...
My two nominees happen to be for a give me every ounce of alcohol British guy and the obnoxious stuck-up Arab lady who wouldn't give it a rest when the drunk guy caused her to get some juice on her shoes... 6 hours of my life I can't have back...

Oh yeah and let's also talk airlines themselves... I have a BIG middle-finger for Lufthansa who in the rear of their 777's do not put air vents.

God, and I will have another 24hr flight to come back home in late June... Oh, what fun we'll have!
