1. Check the calendar...
it's late March...

This is actually fairly typical for Kansas (spoken as a Kansas native).

6. Really... I remember years where
the girls at KU would be in short shorts and halter tops on Friday (ahhh, the seventies!) and by Monday there was 4 inches of
snow on the ground, and the trees were encrusted with ice from the ice storm that preceded the snow... and at least a few
tornadoes in between... but by Wednesday the ice and snow were gone and everyone was back to pretending it was summer again.

And the saying back in the day was always "If you don't like the weather in Kansas... wait 24 hours".

3. Maybe We're Not IN Kansas Anymore, Toto!
Maybe we're in Narnia, where it's always winter and never Christmas.....

5. I lived in Kansas for five years while my husband was in the Army stationed there
Boo, we hated the weather. We had a tornado and had to go to a shelter the day we brought our newborn home from the hospital, and again when he was 6 days old. Our car looked like Swiss cheese. Ugh.

And what's up with the locusts? Scary creatures, they are.
