Wrestling fans ‘hate George W. Bush more than the sledgehammer molester.’

Peter Rugg, a blogger for The Pitch, a local Kansas City arts and entertainment newspaper, wrote yesterday about his experience the previous evening attending WWE’s Monday Night Raw. Rugg noted that during the show, “there were two touching tributes to the military men and women serving in the Middle East,” one of which came from former President Bush. And according to Rugg, once Bush appeared on the arena’s television screens, he received “thunderous boos“:

The mere sight of Bush elicited thunderous boos — even more jeering than the maniacal Randy Orton, who dropped Triple H’s wife, Stephanie, on her head and kissed her while a handcuffed Triple H could only watch. Then Orton hit him with a sledgehammer. I’m going to repeat that again, just to be clear: To wrestling fans, George W. Bush is worse than a sledgehammer molester.

5. Kansas City, Missouri
We moved to Chicago from Kansas City so even though I have no interest in wrestling I clicked on this thread. The Sprint Center is on the Missouri side of the river.

This was kindofa blast from the past. My husband and I met though the KC Pitch and we've been together 27 years. I'll always have a soft spot for them.

Oh, and, yay for the KC booers!

2. Encouraging...
now if he was booed at a NASCAR event, that'd really be impressive.

3. Sigh,
Knee-jerk stereotyping of pro wrestling and it's fanbase(which is much more diverse then people realize).

There are a lot of shitty movies but does anyone ever come out of a bad movie and say "God, movies are stupid, movie fans are a bunch of stupid rednecks."
