Jindal defends those who want Obama to fail
Edited on Wed Mar-25-09 07:42 AM by IDemo
By Mark Preston
CNN Political Editor

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- -- It's OK for Republicans to want President Obama to fail if they think he's jeopardizing the country, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal told members of his political party Tuesday night.

Jindal described the premise of the question -- "Do you want the president to fail?" -- as the "latest gotcha game" being perpetrated by Democrats against Republicans.

"Make no mistake: Anything other than an immediate and compliant, 'Why no sir, I don't want the president to fail,' is treated as some sort of act of treason, civil disobedience or political obstructionism," Jindal said at a political fundraiser attended by 1,200 people. "This is political correctness run amok."

Since conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh said that he hoped that Obama would fail, Republicans have been pressed by Democrats and the media about Limbaugh's comments.

11. Wait a minute
We want the President to succeed, right? We want him to bring a revolutionary change to the way government operates, and that is directly opposite to the republican plan.

While it is fun to catch the pubbies on that statement, lets not be hypocritical ourselves and say they don't have a point.

Of course they want Obama to fail. They like way Bushco did in the government, they like the goose-stepping, hero worshiping, God, Guns, and Gays division of the country. They hate Obama's 'no red and blue'. Shoot, they hate America... of course they want Obama to fail.

6. You heard wrong.
He did this event, at the same time as the president's news conference.

4. Time to go Mayor Daley on these punks
And not the pale imitation now running Chicago, but the real thing. Daley was a thug and a tyrant, he ran Chicago with an iron fist and kept his fingers in every slot in the till. He also knew what he was doing from a municipal standpoint. When challenged on some program or other, his first question was almost always, "What is your plan? What do you propose to do about it?"

In those by-gone days, that was usually enough to shut down opposition, and in Daley's case, it was doubly sure to do so with a sycophantic press and a very secretive municipal government. Nobody could come up with an alternative plan because nobody knew how Chicago's government worked like Mayor Daley. President Obama flashed a little bit of it last night in response to a couple of questions, noting that the Republicans hadn't brought forth any plans or ideas, a point the popular media seems determined to overlook.

Bring the question front and center: What is Bobby Jindal's plan for the mess created by Republican borrowing-and-spending, and failure to exercise any oversight on the financial sector? More borrowing? More tax cuts for the thieves who've robbed America blind? Less regulation of the markets? Let's see the plan. What is your plan, Bobby?

10. Heh ...

I keep posting recent volcano pics and clips taken by something called volcano observers (Is that right? Volcano observers?) with a note "For Bobby" on my Facebook page. It makes my Republican acquaintances squirm. They try to say something witty in response, but they always fail.

8. This Is What Happens When Hypocrisy Does Into Hyperdrive
Ya gotta give the rushpublicans credit for being massive contortionists and illusionists. For example, except for 9/11 (which the Clenis caused), 2001-2008 didn't even exist. Meanwhile, their hyopcrisies have double back and over and around so many times, it's hard to figure where it began from.

Yep, Piyush got caught up in the "gotcha" game...damn that reality! Truthiness is surely a political trap.
