10. I vote for Challenger
I once owned a 1970 T/A Challenger with a 340 Sixpack (not to be confused with the 440 Sixpack). It was an all round great car.

40. The stock linkage was mechanical to the center carb
and vacuum to the front and back. I changed it to a strictly mechanical progressive linkage since I had a thing for drag racing. Oh those were the days- cheap high octane gas, high horse power engines in small, light cars and the fools to drive them. ahh and the smell of nitro and rubber at the drag strip in the morning.

43. interesting
I thought that the linkage from the carbs tended to "stretch" slightly and that it was difficult to keep all three carbs balanced. That is why chevy stayed with the dual quad set ups when they went with multiple carbs.

anyways I am a mustang guy so I have no experience with it, just overheard curses

47. The Mope and Chevy systems were simple.
The Ford progressive mechanical Tri-Power systems used on the 1962 390 and1963 406 did have linkages to all three carbs, but I would not call it complicated. I have such a set-up on my 352 and it's a snap to align. It's all steel, so no stretching. Also, all three carbs have their own idle circuit, so setting idle is pretty much the same as any Holley carb except x3. You do not have to synchronize them, as they are progressive (the outer carbs act like the secondary barrels on a 4 barrel carb). Synchronizing is what you have to do with 1:1 multiple carb set-ups, like motorcycles or my MG Midget.

I recall that the Ford Tri-Power used on the old Lincoln-Tbird 430 in 1958 used vacuum secondary carbs like the Mope and Chevy set-ups.

I have no specific knowledge of the Pontiac 3x2 set-ups.

Watched the shuttle launch with my son last night on HD-Net. There were two teachers on the crew... last time I think I watched a live launch was the Challenger when I was in 3rd Grade, so it was sorta scary considering the whole teacher thing.

But that's Barracuda to the bone. It's even more obvious when you see it in real life.

38. I've owned both a Pony Car and a Camaro.
Liked my Mustang a lot, but I have to confess my heart still belongs to that Camaro. It was a '77 (the last year they had much chrome on them) and I bought it new off the showroom floor. It had a wicked bad V8 and I miss that car to this day.

Have never driven a Challenger--nor any of the Dodge muscle cars, come to think of it. I'd like to. My brother drove a Charger for a few years in the early 70's and he absolutely refused to let me anywhere near his car. That was probably a smart move on his part, but it was an opportunity lost as far as I am concerned.

Truth be told, however, I'm not sure I'd buy a "sports car" today, period. It just looks silly as hell to me to be hauling a few kids and a bunch of softball gear around in a two door.

44. I have a 95 Z28 convertible Camaro with 5.7L V8 and a 2008 Dodge Charger R/T with 5.7 and 5 speed
automatic (can be shifted but has no clutch.)

The Charger with the Hemi is bigger and heavier but has a lot more zip than the Camaro thanks to 70 extra HP. The Camaro gets great gas mileage with the six speed in spite of having a 5.7L V8/275HP it gets 30+ mpg highway and 17 mpg city.

The Camaro is mostly parked lately because it needs some work and I can't afford to do it.

I hope the Charger doesn't get re-po'd since I've been vastly underemployed for the last three months and the payments are a pain. I got the Charger to replace my gas guzzler Dodge Ram 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup in January of last year - in retrospect a mistake since gas has gotten much cheaper and the truck was paid off and the car payments are $600/month. I DO love the new car and all its high tech features though -satellite radio, GPS mapping, bluetooth hands free cell phone, traffic/construction info, MP3/CD/DVD/harddisk entertainment system, etc, etc.

The Charger is also a lot more comfortable on long trips but I do enjoy the convertible for trips to the beach, cruising around in the evening etc.
