If you’re a MoveOn member…

JOIN MOVEON PROCESS TO INTERVENE IN PRESIDENTIAL CONTEST

Dear PDA Activist,

Many of us are members of MoveOn.org, which emailed its membership today about joining in Virtual Town Hall meetings to give progressive voters an early chance to discuss issues with the presidential candidates. If you received that email, feel free to suggest candidates to be invited and questions to be asked. But, more importantly, consider hosting or attending one of the living room gatherings on April 10th.

That April 10th meeting will focus the presidential candidates on Iraq. It’s a good opportunity for PDA activists to gather with other progressive activists in our local areas on the crucial issue of ending the occupation. Please check for today’s email from MoveOn, and consider joining the events on April 10.

While PDA and the leadership of MoveOn.org took different approaches on the Iraq funding bill, we know from years of joint work that MoveOn activists are as committed to ending the Iraq occupation as we are. Together, we can move the Democratic presidential candidates on Iraq, and on preventing an attack on Iran.

Future MoveOn gatherings will focus on energy/global warming and on healthcare reform. Those issues are two of PDA’s priorities, as well.

So if you’re a MoveOn member, raise your voice.

In peace,
Tim Carpenter

Progressive Democrats of America is a grassroots PAC that works both inside the Democratic Party and outside in movements for peace and justice. Our goal: Extend the victory of Nov. 2006 into a permanent, progressive majority. PDA’s advisory board includes six members of Congress and activist leaders such as Tom Hayden, Cindy Sheehan, Medea Benjamin and Rev. Lennox Yearwood. More info: http://pdamerica.org/.

about impeachment. :D
