If CT held an election today would Lieberman lose?
not to take away from the "how big the stuff you own" threads but i'm wondering with the recent uptick in Lieberman's Bush ass kissing would Lamont maybe win?

2. Not sure.
I like Dodd over Lieberman.

I can't believe the voters could be so smart about Dodd, and so dumb about Lieberman.

Shame!! I wasn't an Lamont fan, but at least he had Iraq RIGHT.

3. It would hing upon how many people voted for him based
on a real plea for "bipartisanship" ala working across parties vs how many voted for him reading the "bipartisanship" line as equalling voting with Bush. Not knowing which definition of "bipartisanship" was used by differnt voters it is impossible to tell how the electorate of Conn would vote today.

4. No. LIEberman's campaign was 100% local. Had nothing to do with national politics.
Edited on Fri Jan-26-07 11:36 PM by rpgamerd00d
He talked about how he saved Groton Sub-base, and fought for the Long Island Sound, and other very CT-specific things (that are on record).
He almost never brought up national politics.
That is how he beat Lamont.

5. Couple that with all of the Republican money
and the perks Bush gave him (Groton Sub-base) and that is how an election and a Congressman is bought and paid for. Quid pro quo.
