My closest one is at a crappy restaurant, but I might just have to pass by there and see the knuckledraggers...

1. One is hosted at a club I used to play regularly.
It is owned by a hardcore family of counterculture, artistic, progressive sorts. I can't believe they know what this group is about.

This might be entertaining...

3. I wish I had heard of this earlier...
I so would have "hosted" a gathering at a gay bar that a friend bartends for... I think there's even a drag show this afternoon!

10. Actually, maybe they do know what is
going on and are presenting it to their regular patrons as a piece of dadaist performance art. There is a meet up about 15 miles from where I line and were I not so lazy, I would go and watch. It sounds hilarious.

Might be fun to go by and see the losers.

4. rather interesting note in today's Akron Beacon Journal ...
G.B. is appearing at a local Cleat's near Akron ... the fact that it's mentioned in a sidebar article is far more press than Bill Press coming (for the second time) got for either of his visits to Akron while 1350AM existed ...

Of course, I have been soured on the idea of EVER eating at a Cleat's due to the fact that it had been heavily pushed by local Rush wannabe Triv ... who now has his own salmonella pit "Triv's" ...

The Artist Currently Known as "Deadly" Ernest ...

and make thoughtful arguments, you can break down the bombastic rhetoric that could be floating around if they are just echoing Rush, Hanity, or some of the other Far Righters.

It might be a good idea for lefties to stop by, if they can keep from getting angry or raising there voice when discussing things. If you get angry in such situations, or get gloatful if you make a good point in a discussion, I think, it would be a bad idea to show up.

Smiles and laughter work well sometimes :)

6. High-larry-us!
A lot of "to be announced/arranged" deals. I can just picture the roving bands of surrounders getting hopelessly mixed up with the real pros, wandering aimlessly and muttering to themselves.

8. everytime I read the name of that, I think of Atari
I don't know if it's true, but back in the days of video arcades I was told Atari translates as "you are about to be surrounded."

I get off at 4:30, and can probably make it there for 5:00ish, depending on traffic...

13. Seems like all but one of the meetups in CT
are in private homes. How the hell can you surround anyone if you wont leave the driveway? RW protesting is funny, kind of pathetic, but damned funny.

15. ROFL, what a joke this shit is. I had not heard of it before now.
The Nine Principles ( 'cause I can't count to ten)

1. America is good. ( and therefore justified when doing bad things )

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life. ( which removes my personal responsibility for my life )

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday. ( 'cause I couldn't possibly be much worse )

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government. ( the gays scare me )

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it. ( unless you were in the Bush Administration, or voted for him )

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results. ( or equal opportunity, so don't take away my advantages. I can't compete on a level playing field )

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable. ( I don't share )

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion. ( as long as I don't disagree with Rush )

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me. ( and I want less government because I want fewer people working for me )

16. This is the first I heard of it, too....
Any given "meeting" ought to be good for a cheap laugh. A buncha knuckledraggers watching FoxNews, and caterwauling about the way things oughtta be, if they were still running the show...

18. They're Republicans, so they don't own their own pitchforks - not knowing how to nourish life...
and all that. They use illegals to keep their lawns green and tidy. If each of us buys one pitchfork, their displays won't have much impact.

Either that or everyone will think it's a demonstration for victory gardens, as they have to substitute rakes and shovels for the missing pitchforks.

He's pathetic. A digrace to be on the air.
