Is Randalls about to go under or something?
I just made a quick trip out to Randalls. I expected it to be a typical grocery store 10PM at night experience. Nope.

One of the customer service managers was running all over asking if anyone needed any help. They were handing out "$2 off your next visit" coupons at the door. The cashiers were all reading a script every customer like clock work. "Hi thanks for shopping at randalls. May I ask your name? Thanks for shopping mr. smith." "do you need help out to your car" "did you forget to get anything? I can run and get it for you"

Damn. For them to be putting on that kind of display at 10PM at night they must be pretty hurt for business. I almost felt like I had walked in to a car dealership I was getting pestered so much.

1. Business must be slipping......
How are the sales in your area? Does Randalls do better than other stores?

One of the good results of the economic catastrophe might be better customer service. Isn't that sad?

don't work there, and don't shop there often.

You are right about customer service though. At the retailer I work at HQ is trying to encourage better customer service in hopes it will help sales.

3. I just commented on that! The lady at the HMO was friendly and helpful, And the woman at
the Dr's office was the same, even the front desk staff was courteous and helpful. Usually they are surly to downright rude. I said, aloud, maybe their husbands lost their jobs and there's a line forming for their jobs!!

"It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good."
