Poll question: What is Bush's most impeachable offense?
There seem to be an endless number of laws this administration has ignored, but which acts stand out to you as the most heinous crimes?

For this poll, I'm more interested in which one you think is the worst than which one is most likely to lead to impeachment.

4. Warrentless wire-tapping
I don't care if a bill made it legal thereafter or claimed that it could retroactively make it legal. Both legal principle and basic reason says that the law cannot be used retroactively.

5. Using the NSA to spy on Americans outside FISA court authority.
That's one of the bigger ones. The war is murky ground though. We need a court to declare it illegal, or we need Congress to remove the 2002 IWR. If Bush refuses to pull out the troops after that is done, he's waging war illegally.

6. Too hard to pick just one
but in this order - lying us into war, outing Valerie Plame, illegal wiretaps, election fraud and torture.... and there are many many more. Probably the easiest and fastest one to prove is illegal wiretaps - he's already admitted doing it.

8. Perpetrating fraud against his own nation/people,....
,...in my view is the absolute most reprehensible act any 'servant' to the people could possibly commit.

Of course, any and all commissions of fraud against 'the people' of this country including issues pertaining to elections, taxes, debt (domestic & foreign), etc. are reprehensible acts justifying the impeachment of this man and his entire entourage (even more guilty being calculative at every moment).

12. No shit. Followed by negligent homocide charges after impeachment.
I would say a few hundred counts of murder in the first degree, but it might be harder to prove. But he deliberately delayed sending resources, and hundreds died because of it.

10. How about 9/11?
Even if Bush only ignored the warnings, he's the most negligent president in our history. Of course, he likely did far more than that, but even the most benign interpretation of those events should have have led to his removal for dereliction of duty.

There is an overwhelming body of speculation supporting LIHOP. If shown to be true, he will be out on his ass in a week. Cheney too.

14. I'mthinking more along the lines of signing statements, and ignoring
the FISA court.

Way too many excuses could get him out of the lying about the reason for war because noone can provewhat was in his mind at the time.

The signing statements are admitted and well documented. So is the ignoring the FISA Court.

You MUST remember, the offences HAVE TO BE PROVABLE! Even though Congress isn't an actual Court, charges still must be proven.

I think so much will be uncovered during the many investigations, even most of the loyal Pubs won't be able to support him anymore.

15. Even Though My Brother Is Over In Iraq...
...I chose the outing of Valerie Plame. Bill Maher's "New Rules" for the past week spells out my reasons for choosing this option much better than I ever could:

16. How about the combination of the first eight. There's a pattern there.
A rather impeachable pattern. The behavior of this administration must be checked or we are doomed to accept it from ANYBODY.
