My child and I go through an independent study program, and are supervised by a credentialed teacher, with whom we meet regularly. We use a state-approved curriculum, and she's tested regularly, both within her various subjects and comprehensively. She participates in the annual STAR testing.

We spent no less than four weeks on evolution, including human evolution.

She's blossomed and became an excellent student because of this program; she was just plain left behind in the conventional classroom.

We use very clever and well-written (by teachers) computer-based episodes and quizzes.

So, give us a break, and read up on the successes of these programs.

I pitied Jonathan when I was listening also, but not because he is homeschooled.
