between me and my so-called "slightly to the left of center" cousin.

It started when I received the following (old, ignorant, and widely circulated ad nauseum) email:

"Remember the big flap about Sarah Palin's dress? Americans! Where are you? Are you awake. Pelosi's snit about having to ride home in the small private, economy jet that comes with the Speaker's job. Remember how Madame Peelo was so aggravated that this little jet had to refuel while transporting her to California every week? Remember that she insisted on a luxurious 200 seat jet to fly her to California nonstop, instead? Hello Folks! Are you awake? Can you muster even a little indignation?

Washington legislators who observed the Madam's Big Fat jet grinned with glee as Joe informed everyone that Nancy's luxury Jet will require hard working American tax payers, to buy thousands of
gallons of expensive jet fuel every week. She only works 3 days a week but her gas guzzler luxury jet flights home, to California , costs taxpayers $60,000 one way! As Joe noted, 'Unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday night,' so there goes another $60,000.00. Folks, that is $480,000 per month or an annual cost to taxpayers of $5,760,000. And she complains about the cost of the war? She could take the smaller jet which she says would cramp her style -- but
since her flying in style takes precedence over war costs -- what the hell, eh?

Military families in this country do without while this woman, who heads up the most do-nothing Congress in the history of our country, spends lavishly to fly herself and associates to and from
California every week. That burns me!! How about you?

Bla,bla,bla. Now, I'm as disappointed as many here with the actions -- make that the inactions -- of Speaker "Peelo" (whatever), but let's get the facts straight, shall we? I replied:

I highlighted a few important points, like this:
The Democratic House speaker normally flies in a 12-seat Air Force jet, just as her Republican predecessor did. This rumor stems from a request by the House sergeant at arms, not Pelosi, for a jet large enough to reach California without refueling.

and this:
Spokespeople for Pelosi and Andrews Air Force Base say that the speaker has used the big Air Force jet once, but she normally uses a much smaller plane, the same one used by the previous speaker of the House, Republican Dennis Hastert.

and even this:
Pelosi's family has traveled with her a few times, but they had to reimburse the government for the cost of their tickets, as stipulated in the Pentagon's letter.

Ya gotta love the end result from my cuz:

The fact is that Pelosi is as dumb as a board. She is fortunate that she gets re-elected by the wacko’s in San Francisco. And, Harry Reid is no better. What losers!!

My cuz has an engineering degree. Do you think I should tell him there's no apostrophe in wackos?

Kidding. I think I've pissed him off significantly enough, and this little exchange is over. Until he sends me another lie-and-hatred filled, piece of crap email, that is.

but Peelo? Must be the wannabe version of P-Lo. Sheesh, can't even get THAT right.

5. Is there an office of Rethug wackos (hee) somewhere composing all this crud?

I've been getting anti-Democrat e-mail myself. Some subtle, some ending with "if you agree, pass this along to your friends!"

I don't respond to the subtle ones, but I give back as good as I get if the opportunity is right, such as the one I got with an animated gif of Hillary standing between Bill on her right & Obama on her left. She's facing Bill's direction & as he leans in to kiss her, she abruptly turns toward Obama to kiss him. The caption says, "Sorry, Bill. I'd rather kiss my new boss." Underneath the gif is typed, "The more you look at it, the funnier it gets."

I replied: "Hahaaa! I think every woman has done that to her husband at least once; I have to give her kudos for her spunk to do it in front of the cameras!"

Ignore them when you can, use humor at every opportunity, & try to resist getting angry. :)
