Has there ever been a better real life version of Wormtongue than Lieberman?

For those of you who aren't familiar with The Lord of the Rings, Wormtongue is a scheming, lying, conniving adviser to one of the kings, and a henchman for the evil wizard Saruman.

Every time I see that lying sack of shit on TV, it always makes me think of the Wormtongue character. First he sucked up to Bush, now he's sucking up to Obama.

unlike senator leiberman, brad dourif can act. brad dourif is the actor who played grima wormtongue.

and i've got far more sympathy for grima's eventual fate as outlined by the books, than i do for senator leiberman.
