Helio passed away today in Brazil, at age 95. He is generally credited for inventing/refining Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the form it is today, adaptable to any physique with an emphasis on skill, technique, strategy, and timing. His large and influential family has spread the "gentle art" throughout the world for decades in countless schools and programs.

This guy was amazing and up until this year was still teaching and showing his moves. If you like martial arts or sports in general, it's worth googling his name or looking on Y-Tube for Gracie history stuff.
