Edited on Wed Jan-14-09 05:43 AM by Wabbajack_
yes I amuse myself with their ramblings.

There's a thread "Bush to give farewell address Thursday night"

It's "Bushbots" as they are called by their foes versus those with "Bush derangement syndrome" and the latter seem to have won. Some even make good points about how bad he sucked though some on the reasons differ as they mostly support the murder of innocents.

No wonder his approval is so low. LOL.

I think he will go down as the worst ever, and left, center and much of the right will agree. We need to print a negative 10 trillion dollar bill with his picture on it.

1. I know what many of them will say
He wasn't conservative enough, he didn't hold true to his Republican values, etc, etc, etc.

It's never that their philosophy sucks - just that their standard bearer failed them.

6. It's a variation on "we didn't get our message out".
I've noticed that whenever someone loses an election, the reason is almost always "we didn't get our message out", implying that if people had truly understood what the candidate stood for he would have been elected in a landslide.

bush seems to feel that his "message", which apparently still hasn't "gotten out" to the people after eight years, will be better appreciated by those not yet born. Good luck with that.

8. Great Point
Yeah, it's never that the message was received and rejected. It's always "we didn't get our message out".

And, i'd like the silverspoon supporters to give me this list of people who were much more greatly appreciated through the lens of history. It's pretty apparent that such treatment from history is rare.

12. They keep pointing to Truman
Who was despised when he left office as well - I think his approval ratings were in the 20s, like Bush.

However, he is held in much higher regard by many now.

18. However
There have been scholarly papers published that established that the Gallup polls of that time were scientifically invalid. So, Truman's approval ratings weren't as low as advertised. He did, in fact, lose huge ratings in the south when he fully integrated the armed forces, so some of that is true.

But, Truman's 20's weren't the same as Silverspoon's 20's. I remember reading one paper about 15 years ago (or so) that showed his real numbers, if the polls weren't so heavily focused on phones (some average working folks still didn't have a phone in 1952) his numbers would have been around 40.

11. Those that say that
don't understand that it could also be that their message did get out and as what happened this year, the message was completely rejected.

17. Yes that's it exactly it he's a "RINO"
but I think few if any elected republicans even their saint ronny really give/gave a crap about the most of the twisted values freepers hold, those dumb dumbs are used for their votes by a corrupt political class. Take abortion, they would never ban it if they could, how would they turn out the fundies without the issue.

3. He was exactly the type the Grover Norquists of the world love...
He drowned the gov't in debt to the point where more social spending can be decried by the loons on the right as unaffordable.....

I guess these crazies didn't realize that when they kill the gov't, they also kill their dumbass followers too.....

:toast:

I like your idea of a negative $10,000,000,000,000 bill with Fuhrer Bushler's picture on it.

As my welcoming gift to you, I present you with a full dose of DU knowledge.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/document/document_20070723.shtml

You may have this knowledge already, and if you do, simply know that this BBC Radio Program, which either staged a massive hoax - unlikely as they are the BBC, which while not infallible, surely wouldn't air it due to the lax Britain libel laws which would smash them if the US Govt. sued them - or actually did confirm this all with a visit to the DC Nat'l Archives to confirm what we already knew, but now through them have "seen" the proof.

If this information blows you away, and I am talking about listening to the 20 min. radio program, accessible from my link, then please feel free to click on my journal and examine the section entitled "other blogs".

These Bushies have been on our necks for quite a bit longer than you may know. Or you may indeed already know it.

In either case, welcome to DU!

:hi: :toast:

15. Hi thanks
I'm not exactly new I joined as Wabbjack without the _ back in 2004 I think it was....long time ago I remember that I liked Dean that's about it. Bush stealing the White House (hell forgot Florida and the EC he friggin GOT FEWER VOTES END OF STORY) got me interested in politics and I really wish I wasn't a year too young to vote in 2000. Then the Iraq war came and oh boy,So I was posting some "liberal screeds" on a message board one day and some guy said "dude post that at DU" and that's how I found this place which I love despite infrequent visits. Kerry "losing" was really a kick in balls...things would so much better now.

I never posted much..I think maybe one person welcomed me. :( Anyway I was off message boards for a while, I forgot my pw and was registered with a now defunct email so back in Feb 08 I rejoined with a _. And again haven't posted much.

Thanks for that link, I think I heard about that in passing (ie Prescott Bush was a Nazi symp) but that's it. I'll listen to it. Our MSM sure stinks they don't talk about shit.

Thanks for the welcome.

:hi:

10. They Still Have Blood On Their Hands....
Many wingnuts fell out of love with the manchild cause he didn't destroy everything enough. It began when he didn't personally intervene with Terri Schaivo and then immigration. He didn't turn the country into a theocracy (despite trying) nor dismantled social security (all except theirs), healthcare and the education system. They wanted war with Iran, Syria and a bunch of stans...they weren't too particular. And they wanted to pay zero taxes and get tax cuts on top of that. He just didn't deliver for them.

History has just begun to judge the criminality and corruption of the past 8 years...and will be doing so for years and decades to come. Those who voted for that bastard...especially for the second term after it was shown how bad things were going...will never wash the blood off their hands. They can try to deny, but the blood's still there.

The irony of it all is there's still many repugnicans out there who still haven't figured out how their manchild did exactly what a "conservative" government does.
