8. Thanks.
They are on the western edge of town, and I'd hate for them to lose anything.

Lots of grasslands around them.

Ft. Collins is a neat town!

4. I am south of Boulder in Golden
We had our power out for over 2 hours, due to downed powerlines in the area. The winds are horrible, some are saying 80mph. Power finally on in the last half hour.

I hear there are other small fires along the front range between Boulder and Longmont. I hope the winds die down this evening to allow the firefighters a chance.

7. Stay safe everyone.
I know first hand what a nightmare the wildfires can be. I spent a very long stressful week in Oct 2006 not knowing if and when we would need to evacuate. Not pretty.

this evening. Hope the winds calm down soon. Good luck, be safe.

12. I live in Boulder
The fire is on the northern edge of the City. My office is in N. Boulder and when I was heading back from lunch I saw a pillar of smoke, but thought it would head directly East. When I walked out to go home the whole hills side was lit up. The winds have calmed down though.

Oh well. At least it's in Boulder so if anyone's house burns down they'd probably be liberals. I won't be loosing any sleep over this.

The fire is with in a 1/4 mile of his house. Hopefully the ridge will keep it from going over.

he had to get out so fast he was just running them down the road..Are you talking about the last ridge between residential Boulder and the fire?

I can't get any live news either. If it isn't happening in Highlands Ranch it isn't really happening.

to say they are about three miles from Dakota Ridge and that they are on standby.

27. The chinook winds in Colorado lately have been pretty brutal.
They blew over a heavy barbecue grill I have on my balcony - takes a decent amount of force to do that.
