Bushisms over the years...post your "favorites"
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/bushisms

• "Rarely is the question asked, is our children learning?" — January 2000, during a campaign event in South Carolina.

"Too many good docs are getting out of business. Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country." — Sept. 6, 2004, at a rally in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

"We look forward to hearing your vision, so we can more better do our job." — Sept. 20, 2005, in Gulfport, Miss.

• "It was not always a given that the United States and America would have a close relationship. After all, 60 years we were at war 60 years ago we were at war." — June 29, 2006, at the White House, where Bush met with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi.

• "Make no mistake about it, I understand how tough it is, sir. I talk to families who die." — Dec. 7, 2006, in a joint appearance with British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

2. How about his absolute silence on Israel's attack on Hamas-leaving his mess in the region for Obama
Edited on Sat Jan-03-09 04:58 PM by LaPera
to get the blame....

Bush still hasn't made an official statement on the invasion, instead he's lying low in Crawford, even though it was his policies causing this shit..

Now he's ignoring his responsibility and NOT standing up and telling the world his position...save a silly radio address blaming Hamas for everything...

What a fucking coward...Bush wants international policy to be his legacy so he's just buying his time till he's out of office and will accept no blame for the mess he created in the region.

8. Without question that was the best one
It sums up his entire presiduncy better than anything. When you walk into the Bush library there should be a Jumbotron playing the video on a continuous loop. The rest of the library should be filled with copies of "The Pet Goat", and Bush sitting at a desk autographing inscriptions of that text inside the cover for anyone who cares to visit. They should chisel it into his headstone.

4. My fave ... and I really think he meant it ...

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop
thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

George W. Bush, Washington, DC, Aug. 5, 2004

5. September 6, 2006 in an interview with Katie Couric on CBS

(O)ne of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror.

That's my favorite, but this one runs a close second and is more classically a Bushism:

Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.

(Bill signing ceremony, August 5, 2004)

12. strategory, the poem
This is a short poem made up entirely of actual quotations from George W. Bush. They have been arranged only for aesthetic purposes by Washington Post writer, Richard Thompson.

MAKE THE PIE HIGHER
I think we all agree, the past is over.
This is still a dangerous world.
It's a world of madmen and uncertainty
And potential mental losses.
Rarely is the question asked
Is our children learning?
Will the highways of the Internet
Become more few?
How many hands have I shaked?
They misunderestimate me.
I am a pitbull on the pant leg of opportunity.
I know that the human being
And the fish can coexist.
Families is where our nation finds hope,
Where our wings take dream.
Put food on your family!
Knock down the tollbooth!
Vulcanize society!
Make the pie higher!
Make the pie higher!
