This story reminds me of my first love, and how sullied some would judge that relationship because when I was 16 he was 20. It's sad. I'd known him my entire life, and that relationship lasted 3 years. I did have access to birth control, and I did have Sex Education as part of Health class, but I don't think that the pregnancy is the issue for many here. I think it's the idea of a 15 year old being sexually active, and having a relationship with a 20 year old.

As a society we should work to reduce # of teenage pregnencies but to call someone trash is sad.

the answer is to make sex education and contraception easily available. My mother was a teenager when I was born and anyone who called her trash to me would get the hell beat out of them, twenty years after her death. She was as good a person, and as bright, as anyone I have ever known. Her three children would be considered successes by any measure you use -- degrees, careers, marriages, compassion, honesty. And she is the one who instilled basic values.

Young women who become pregnant need our support and help, not name calling.
