I read that the concern was that *somebody* would make the money off the first photos of their kids, and they preferred the money to go to charity rather than the paparazzi.

18. High profile births like Angelina and Brad cause an increase in the paparazzi....

with everyone trying to get the 'scoop' of the first pictures. When people clamour for pictures like that usually there are some negative results - someone getting injured or embarassing pictures.

By selling the pictures to a magazine it eliminates the demand of 'who got the first picture' and some of that craziness. And Brad & Angelina are not ones who would take that money to profit themselves but turn it around to benefit others around them. Brad Pitt has recently opened new low-income, environmental friendly housing in the Katrina ravaged areas of New Orleans.

Alot of people will benefit from the $14million spent on those pictures of Brad & Angelina's twins. No one benefits but Palins & Johnstons with their pictures. $300k pretty much says that no one really cares that this kid was born but were tossed a boner token fee to take the pictures.

Number one....it's probably just me, but who gives a shit about baby photos of a kid that's not even related to them? I wouldn't know Brad and Angelina's kids if they came up to me on the street and bit me on the ankles.


Second...also probably just me, and I don't mean to piss anyone off or anything, but honestly...most newborn babies look pretty much the same. Bald (or very little hair)...no teeth....big eyes and floppy heads. Some of them are just plain ugly looking....again, unless you're somehow related to the baby.

Although even family ties don't always work...my next younger sister was an extremely ugly baby. She looked like Ringo Starr after a bad night of drinking.
