2. Since when is it not kosher to voice dissent?
Or have we REALLY turned into the fascist state the Bush cabal was pushing? Most of our founding fathers WANTED people to speak up when they felt they were being wronged, or marginalized.

Or is STFU and STFD suddenly the NEW America?

5. I... I...I think I may need re-education classes -
Maybe a "camp" of some sort for re-education?
I have failed you all by being one of THOSE that have criticized our glorious leaders.

I really want to be a good citizen,
can I be fixed?

Please help before it is too late for me .... :-(

8. I know, I fail at being a good citizen!
I should just keep my mouth shut and pay taxes! That will make everything better- when everyone abstains from dissent, this country will be perfect!

(The scary thing is that there are people who believe that...a lot of them, in fact)

9. They clearly did not get "The Memo".
Edited on Fri Dec-26-08 01:15 PM by bvar22
I'll summarize:

* "Centrism" is the New Left.

* It was proved in the 90s that "Issues" only hurt the Party, and are to be avoided or assigned to The Green Party and then blamed for hurting the Democratic Party.

* "Bi-Partisanship", and the new version 2.0 "Post-Partisanship" are the new code words.
Essentially, the Republicans get everything they want, but the Democrats get to say, "We put in protections."
Then they all appear on TV praising each other and saying "We moved the country forward. America is safer."

* Criticism of the Party Leaders is to be swiftly scorned, ridiculed, or marginalized. This is critical because under a "Centrist" doctrine in the era of Bi/Post-Partisanship, there will be very little operational difference between the two Parties on major issues, so something as small as public criticism can actually turn an election. Remember, we have moved past a platform based on "Issues". It is now ALL about perception.

* The Democratic Party will remain Authoritarian. The Party Leaders "decide"....PERIOD.
Howard Dean got the commoners all riled up, and they need to be quickly put back in their place. "The People" have not had a voice in government for a long time, and it is not time to start now. Talking Points are available and should be quickly disseminated for use against those uppity assholes on the InterNet.

Once they accept Their Place in the Democratic Party, they will be much happier.

"Centrism"...because it is so EASY!
You don't have to STAND for ANYTHING, an get to insult those who do!
