Bob Woodward: "I had three sources that said the (Iraq WMD) evidence we had was skimpy"

http://www.benningtonbanner.com/local/ci_11193460

<snip>

"I asked him 500 questions over the course of two days," Woodward told the crowd. "The president gives short, direct answers. If it was Bill Clinton, I would have been lucky to get two questions in. Clinton has a lot to say."

He described President Bush as a "smart man who doesn't like to do his homework."

...

Woodward also chastised the press, including himself, for not digging deeper in March 2003 when the president said Saddam Hussein had "mass weapons of destruction" hidden in Iraq.

"I had three sources that said the evidence we had was skimpy," he said. "I could have been more aggressive. I could have called up Saddam and told him I was coming to Iraq with a team of Washington Post investigative journalists to take a look around. He most likely would have said no, but that wouldn't have stopped us. The press is best when it is aggressive and skeptical."

2. And leave your DC dinner parties behind? This asshole is the height of arrogance. I could have
called up Saddam? How self-important can you get? How about giving a platform to those who were seriously questioning this criminal administration, hearing them out and doing due diligence to their points?

Fuck Woodward.

6. How come Canada said hell NO? How come the MAJORITY of AMERICANS
said bUsh hadn't made his case?

How come the VAST MAJORITY of the world said HELL NO?

Answer: Coz we all knew the "wmd" bullshit was total bullshit.

Wow. We're all not only smarter than the US government, we're smarter than the US "media" and clowns such as Bob Woodward.

Too bad about all those dead or maimed folk.

10. Dan Rather
If I remember correctly, he actiually did go over and have a one on one chat with Saddam a couple of months before the war started in 2003?

I guess Bill's cable system didn't have that channel working that day or something?

11. Weathervane Woodward
I bet when he was in elementary school, he was always inciting bad behavior when teacher was out of the room so that he would have some names to tell on when she got back.

12. If the evidence hadn't been skimpy there would have been no reason to form
The "Operations of Special Plans" (OSP) which was a "Special" Intelligence group put together by those that made up WHIG or Whitehouse Iraq Group.. Never needed OSP before and apparently we don't need it now, but during the time they put together "Intelligence" against Iraq it was needed.
