Bush History-Republican Senator Slams ’stay the course’ Bush Policy 12/7
A Republican senator slams President Bush's 'stay the course' Iraq policy on this date, calling it "absurd. It may even be criminal". Also a "superb" Seattle prosecutor is let go by the Bush Justice Department; he says he heard the administration was upset that he didn't aggressively pursue legal action against Democrats. Also, a couple of related Bushisms.

1. I see that one of the U.S. Attorneys was fired on this day too.
I hope we can finally find out once and for all what happened to the DoJ.

2. I'm with you on that one CW. Hope we find out lots of stuff like...
Hope we find out lots of stuff like how the Bush Admin made the Justice Dept a branch of the GOP. Other things too...

Rememember those 10 pages of the 9/11 congressional report that Bush had classified to keep the public from seeing? An insider told the LA Times that the american people would be 'outraged' if they knew what was in them. I hope that they are declassified very soon after Obama gets in.

There must be a ton of other stuff like that too, and lots of stuff that will hit the shredder room floor or vanish into the ether (like the thousands of emails already reported as 'lost').

IIRC, Presidential papers must be released 12 years after the "pResident" leaves office.

Which means we can expect another Bush to run in 2016 or 2020 to cover up for Dumbya, just as he did for his Pappy.

5. wouldn't that be nightmare
Another Bush to keep the secrets, secret in 2012. Great!.

There must be a good amount of stuff that falls outside of the 'presidential papers' classification that can come out relatively soon, I would hope. Those 9/11 pages that Bush ordered classified, those are I think the work of Congress and at least one senator who was involved and knew their content was very vocal that they should never have been classified. The clear implication was that Bush was protecting his friends in the Saudi royal family - Bush really seems to care more for those Saudis friends of his than he does the American people.
