I saw some figures a while back which showed rust belt states getting less than they paid in while sunbelt and Southern states found the exchange profitable.

I need some help here, folks.

2. What's up with DC?? More than 5 bucks out to every dollar received!
God damn! Make them a state already. Talk about taxation (out the wazoo) without representation!

4. wait, I thought that table meant they get $5 for every $1?
probably counting things that go into federal operations, not really to D.C. itself.

5. No, it's the opposite.
I mean, seriously, Alaska is #3 and you know Senator Pork Stevens and Gov. Pork Palin have been raking in way more Federal dollars than they're paying out.

6. no, I think all the ones greater than $1 are getting a net

so D.C. would actually be ranked #1 if it was included in the ranking, ahead of NM, MS, and AK.

Maybe they didn't include it because it's really federal $$ staying in the federal government, not going to D.C.

10. no worry - I'd like to see what actually goes to D.C. schools, parks, services, etc.
I expect they're still getting the short straw, and I can't believe they don't have representation.

11. Probably not much.
I suspect much of the Federal funding goes into running the nat'l administration.

9. Blue states willingly feed the red states...
...while red states incessantly condemn and rebuke the aid between mouthfuls.

Red state mindset is the epitome of ingratitude.

12. New York gets 79 cents, while Alaska gets $1.84
And Palin was complaining about "wealth redistribution"?
