Pope Had `Prophecy' of Market Collapse in 1985, Tremonti Says
Edited on Thu Nov-20-08 12:16 PM by emad
Nov. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Pope Benedict XVI was the first to predict the crisis in the global financial system, a ``prophecy'' dating to a paper he wrote when he was a cardinal, Italian Finance Minister Giulio Tremonti said.

``The prediction that an undisciplined economy would collapse by its own rules can be found'' in an article written by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who became pope in April 2005, Tremonti said yesterday at Milan's Cattolica University.

Pope 'Joe the Plumber' Ratzinger had a hand in the 1982 collapse of the Vatican bank.

Officially the 'suicide' of God's Banker Roberto Calvi has been upgraded to murder.

Nobody has ever been jailed for the mysterious death linked to the £400 million+ collapse of the Vatican Bank.

2. So NOW its the Pope's fault.
Time for some divine intervention.....Dialing the 700 Club so they can pray to the 'globe' for money and wealth.

Anyone halfway observant knew it would happen sooner or later. I notice he didn't pick a specific date like October 15, 2008 or anything. A prediction as open-ended as their apocolypse.

I really hope that certain other predictions about us nearing the end of the age of popes are correct.

Shit like that gives prophecy a bad name. :sarcasm:
