President-elect Barack Obama met with New York Sen. Hillary Clinton late Thursday afternoon in Chicago, two sources confirm to CNN.
The meeting was held at the request of Obama.
One of the sources says Clinton went to the meeting because "she knew Obama wanted to talk about whether she would have a role in the administration."

It's well known that they share an important belief that Americans want and deserve a more effective and efficient government, and will discuss ways to work together to make that a reality. They will be joined in the meeting by Senator Lindsey Graham and Congressman Rahm Emanual," Obama spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said in the emailed statement.
http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1108/Meeting_McCain.htmlI had a couple of petty thoughts on the significance these meetings, but I'll put them aside for now . . . Anyone know of any other interesting meetings our president-elect has had or is scheduled to have?
