I was there and a member of our group witnessed police brutality - macing a man who was already down by the Virginia police. She is in her early 20's and was traumatized by the event. We also saw two middle aged women tell us they were physcially assaluted, slammed to the ground, and they showed us their wounds.

When we walked by the "flag raisers" they didn't bother us, but we were 18 strong, with mostly men in our group. These fucking cowards attacked mostly women alone or in 2's marching.

If they weren't fucking cowards with their beliefs, they would be in Iraq, like the kids of many of these people marching with us that we spoke to. Instead, the ones who returned from Iraq were at the begnning of our march, and the parents of the ones still over there were with us.

I'm 63, and haven't shaved since 1969. (I keep it trimmed to less-than-Grizzly-Adams length.)

I figure I save 3 minutes a day by not shaving. (Over just trimming once a week.)

Lemme see... 38 years times 365 days times 3 minutes.... Roughly a month of my life NOT spent hurting myself.

I didn't grow a beard... it just grows by itself.

On edit: My wife says kissing a man without a beard is like eating a hard-boiled egg without salt.... it's OK, but no flavor to it.
