10. And most DUers assume everyone in a red state is an idiot.
Edited on Sun Mar-18-07 07:44 PM by Clark2008
Um - use the term red "voters," please. It much better describes the audience you were targeting for laughs.

There are between 42 and 47 percent of us in red states who knew Bush was an idiot well before 1999. We're also not ignorant or stupid.

And - you CAN take a car to go to London or Paris. London, Kentucky and Paris, TN are within a day's drive of my house.

So there. :P

6. Oh man
With all the subsidized corporations, we don't have a free market system. And the EU most certainly doesn't have a welfare state. What a complete bunch of propaganda bullshit.

8. "Europe's Welfare State"? That's a pretty monolithic name to use
for 27 countries with differing welfare systems.

11. Well both have their strengths and benefits
I think that the US free market system should just have better safety nets, and it will be the best.

Edited on Sun Mar-18-07 09:06 PM by sad_one
with all the subsidies to big oil, agri-business, big pharma.

a better question might be

Is the US welfare for corporations
better than welfare for citizens in the EU?
