So the impression I'm getting from the Main Stream Media is
Edited on Sun Mar-18-07 12:33 PM by jarnocan
that Protestors for and Against the War came out in about equal numbers. Many reports do not even mention numbers, but give close to equal time to both points of view. grrrr.
I think we had about as many anti-war folks at our rally in Greensboro, as they had PRO-war fools in WDC. And I know you had THOUSANDS of times more protesting the war!:)

some of the coverage isn't bad but they still just seem so afraid to fully report the truth.

1. Did you hear that Washington Journal caller this morning who
was righteously angry because CSPAN didn't cover that Freeper protest? She kept insisting that they had 30,000 people there lining the streets, 2-5 people deep? The host raised his eyebrows and asked her about it. He clearly didn't believe her. However, I expect we'll hear that number for the pro-war side (oh, and she was po'd because they were referred to as "pro-war") bandied about.

2. Did she say how many porta-potties they had?
I suspect they're really freeper reproduction booths, but that's another issue.

6. They place Left Behind books in every potty for bathroom-reading material.
That usually does the trick for them.

9. But They're High Quality Potties
Especially made by a Halliburton subsidiary at US Taxpayer expense...

So far, the only Freeperstrators were a couple of old guys with moronic signs. It's been years since I can remember a real freeper "counter demonstration". They're too comfy in mom's basement...the only times they hit the streets is when they need hookesr, more oxy or trans fats.

Cheers...

4. Over at Freeperland they are calling and emailing the media and making sure
the word gets out that pro-war marchers were as big as anti-war.

They make alot of followup noise which seems to work hiding the real facts on the ground.

11. On a more serious note
taht is waht the MSM loves to do, conflate, confuse and make a mess of things

They know the polls and they know THEY are on the loosing side and that they need to keep the charade

So if you were expecting a fair coverage, not in this country any longer... not until the media conglomerates are broken and a fairness doctrine comes back... after all what we have is a conservative, corporatist media
