72 hours
72 hours until "That One" is declared president elect.

72 hours until the home state of Jesse Helms turns blue.

72 hours until the former congressional seat of Dick Cheney is awarded to a Democrat.

72 hours until our long national nightmare is over.

72 hours.

18. lol I have been drinking red wine for the past couple of evenings
just to keep the jitters from consuming me. I cannot wait until Tuesday. We are planning on getting together with some friends to watch America come to her senses.

15. This Canadian is.
Not being able to DO anything to help is making election day seem like a million light-years away.

I'm on pins and needles - I remember the disappointment I felt in '04. I really don't ever want to feel that way again.

4. I spent 2 hours phone banking today.
I'll spend another 2-4 tomorrow.

Monday, when the kids are in school I'll spend 6 hours phone banking.

Tuesday I'll need meds, but will phone bank until the kids are out of school.

Then I'll have CNN on one TV, MSNBC on the other, and be clogging the tubes of DU.

My Husband is in China at the moment, but if I need to start rioting on the 5th I have peeps that will care for the kiddies.

17. i live right by the lake lynn early voting center
yesterday on ray road the cars were lined up east and west north and south...in the afternoon i walked my chihuahua over to the community center to look at it. it was near closing then and the wait was about 45 minutes. anyone who got in line by 5 pm would be able to vote. they told me that earlier the line was all the way to the lake! (that's long).

a woman passed me by with her "i voted" sticker stuck to her shirt. i was wearing the obama shirt i got at the rally on wednesday...we chatted for a sec. when we crossed paths again on the way back i said, "three days," and she said, "i'm so excited!" me too, me too.

for those who don't know this is all in NC, the state that's going to elect a democrat for president for the first time since 1976 (the first year i got to vote).
