Any US History buffs here tonight? Re Most electoral votes ever?
So I was working with one of those electoral maps that you can create yourself and I started to wonder, who in US history has won the most electoral votes ever? What is the highest number of electoral votes ever obtained?

I searched a little bit but didn't find what I was looking for. Anyone have an idea?

1. I have an idea that it was a rout for Walter Mondale
who took Minnesota while the rest of the country ran red for RR. I don't enjoy recalling it, but that's the worst I remember.

15. We have been acquainted over the years...
That lifestyle I left behind is so foreign to me now I can't imagine anything would drive me to drink again...

14. Wow. As someone who's been sober over 15 years...
I can attest, '84 would be a tough time to stop drinking.

8. Depends on what specifically you mean, fer instance Washington was elected with 100%
of the electoral votes, but in absolute numbers, I think it was Nixon '72.

10. Depends. George Washington won them all twice - 100%.
Monroe won all but one EV in an uncontested election (One elector voted for John Quincy Adams as a protest vote).

FDR in 1936, Nixon in 1972 and Reagan in 1984 have had huge EV margins but didn't win unanimously.
