We've got a You Tube video up of our dog Bandit reacting to Republicans - it's really funny, and I'd love to see this go viral. We've only had 637 views so far (in 24 hours), but I'd love to see this thing out there long enough before Tuesday so that maybe a few Republicans have to see it. I posted it, along with the story of how it came about, in Political Videos, but it has not received much attention over there.

So, please - give Bandit, a good Democratic dog, some love, and check out his video (its only 46 seconds).

8. Just Being Honest. You Seriously Didn't Find It Annoying?

I was just giving honest critique, as always. I thought the video was going to be something good, but it was not only kinda lame, but that piercing repetitive voice is still swirling in my head.

But I do know the OP meant well, but I question the judgment in asking us all to send this thing viral. It was just a really silly video that anyone on my email list would likely block me for life for if I sent them the link.

The OP has a cute dog and shared her video with the DU community, and the first post in the thread is a sardonic mocking followed up with a patronizing "nice try" participant ribbon footnote. You know, just because you *can* comment doesn't mean you *have to* when you KNOW your comments will be hurtful. This falls under the "Wow, YOU have a REALLY UGLY BABY! What!? I'm just being honest?! What?! What I say!?-- but WOW, I mean, she's really ugly. I guess not everyone has good genes, but good on you for trying." The OP didn't deserve your seemingly Ignatius J. Reilly haughty mockery and derision. She really didn't, but your burning need to express your *honest* opinion seems to supersede letting something that most people, if they were unimpressed or annoyed, would pass over and move onto another thread, but you really needed to insult OP, and not slightly, but really go for it.

I've read enough of your posts to know how I will now be decried as a censor or anti free speech or some other nasty something for other for this, but whatever. You have every RIGHT to post whatever you want, but you can really look like a jerk in doing so, and you have. I'll already concede that you'll have the last word, because I've already said my peace about this.

Silence is diplomatic. I practice it with many posts I read here, as I'm sure many others do. I don't feel slamming me - or my dog - like you did was appropriate at all. It certainly was not community-friendly.

And I honestly figured the only people this would annoy would be Republicans. Should have thought about dog-haters, too, I suppose. And if you read my initial post, you'll see my motivation for asking to help send it viral is to irritate REPUBLICANS.

what kind of dog is bandit? looks like a lhasa apso (but it's probably a shih tzu--every time i think a dog is a lhasa it always turns out to be a shih tzu)
