UAV technologies
Watching Jim Cramer right now saying he thinks Obama would support UAV tech and it would be a good way to reduce military budget. Saying that a fighter jet costs millions and millions and UAV's can costs a fraction of that. I think this would be a good idea. As long as the robots dont take over.

3. The military is already spending a lot of money on autonomous vehicles.
land, sea and air. The pentagon would be very happy to send in robots instead of humans, wherever possible.

When the robots eventually take over, at least it will be cool.

4. And then skynet becomes self-aware.
While the unmanned technologies are interesting, and certainly use full, there will always be people in the loop.

This is particularly true in a counter-insurgency fight, where Robby the Robot or Johnny 5 cannot interact with the local population the way other human beings can. It ain't a silver bullet.

6. I think it was General Robert E. Lee who said.

"It's a good thing war is so terrible, lest we grow to love it."

I'm afraid that will be the ultimate result of turning war over to robots, fighting war will increasingly become as playing a video game.

The American People separated from the human cost of war will decrease their opposition as a result and our political leaders will wage war even more casually than they do now.

For every action there is a reaction and I believe if we become more of a war mongering nation, ultimately we will surely lose the world.
