Every election, they come out and stand out in front of a clinic that performs abortions. You never see them unless its election time. I almost wonder half the time if these are people who are paid to stand out there and hold up signs? Anyway, it really pisses me off.. just because there's an election, women who have made the choice to proceed with an abortion will have to go thru the loonies.... They won't be there after Nov. 4th.

ANYway.. I really want to go and stand out there quietly with a sign...

Do you think this would be effective at all.. It just pisses me off so much to see them standing there. I don't think anyone is PRO-Abortion.. people are faced with hard choices.. no woman I've ever known says, "Yippee, I'm going to have an abortion". Like its a carnival ride or something. AND the only time they are out there is during election time.

I just don't want to make it worse for someone. I don't want it to become something that grows from the handful of idiots that currently show up... to a scene where cops are showing up and it becomes vitriolic.. because that would only hurt the clinic and the women who use the clinic even more...(knowing this area, there are other clinics, and I'm assuming that some may just choose to go elsewhere during this last couple of weeks.. I do flick them off everytime I drive by). What do you all think?

and what about the sign.. Do you think that is effective, or do you have a better suggestion that pops out... I really want to stand up for something I'm tired of seeing still in contention.. Over 50% of this country thinks it is ok to provide abortions by Dr.s in safe environment... Yet, its the nut jobs that make this still seem like a hotly contested issue every time voting occurs... The ruling was made before I was even born. I've been grateful that as a woman, if the need arose, that I would be able to receive a safe medical procedure.. Why should that be taken away? It will NOT end abortions, it would only increase the deaths of women and the number of infants found wrapped in trash bags and left in dumpsters.

That should get you a response or two.
