Believers Urged to Stock Up on Spiritual Treats for Halloween
Halloween is just around the corner and households across America will be stocking up on sweets to hand out to trick-or-treaters.
<snip>
One such “extra” is the “Hairy Polarity” comic book – a 32-page, full color comic book exposing the dangers of sorcery and witchcraft in a way that is very easy for young people to understand.

The comic book, says Todd, is “an attractive tract that will satisfy their ‘spiritual’ hunger for the one true God that has demonstrated his love for them in the person of his Son, Jesus.”

And Halloween provides a perfect opportunity to give children what they need, and not just what they think they want.

“After all,” Todd points out, “they're coming right to your door. And with a supply of Hairy Polarity and the Sinister Sorcery Satire on hand, sharing Jesus with the trick-or-treaters has never been easier.”

1. It never ends
I received a similar thing in my trick-or-treat bag preaching the evils of Dark Shadows ("the devil's favorite TV show" lol) back in 1969. You'd think they'd give up on this crap but no ...

10. I thought the devil's favorite TV show was "Bewitched".
That's what it said in a JT Chick tract when I was a kid, anyway.

12. I figure Satan must have channel surfed
They actually had two different tracts -- one for Bewitched and the other for Dark Shadows (I'm sure some other TV show was in there somewhere, too).

4. Oh, yeah. The kids will love this in their candy bags.
This is why it is dangerous to let your kids trick-or-treat in the neighborhoods!

5. I despise zealots. If my kids came home with that crap the family would be getting a call from me
I don't push my religion on their children, they best keep their hands off mine.

9. Someone tries it and they'll get a word from me.
Preaching to children against parents consent is intolerable.

"They have the best of intentions" my fat hairy Italian ass.

7. Yeah, that's going to work.
It's been a *very* long time since I halloweened, but we had 'tricks' for folks that handed out sub-standard candy, much less a dumbass religious pamphlet.

:eyes:

13. Last halloween I had a lady say this to my son...
My son walked ahead of me alittle and got to a door before I did... when I walked up I heard this lady saying "you know little boy that it is a sin to celebrate this holiday and you are going to go to hell for it" I told my son to catch up with my dad and go next door and I LAID INTO HER.. man oh man... I went off lol... but I had to make sure Cade was out of earshot lol... why are people like that? Ive also seen notes on the door to basically the same thing.. "this house doesn't celebrate the day of the devil" but at least they just tape a note to the door and not hassle people

17. Same crap, different characters
I swear my parents gave me this same type of thing about D&D when I was a kid. I thought it was ridiculous drivel then too.

I can't even comprehend my world view including true belief in crap like this.
