Recalling my lifelong Democratic-registered grandfather today...
He was a WWII vet, a Teamster throughout his working life, and a no-nonsense type on the outside who secretly was a big softee (imagine a Dem Red Foreman with a heart of gold).

He had a phrase he liked to use, which seems to apply to modern-day rethugs and freepers: "Those who know the least, usually know it the loudest."

Damn, I miss my grandfather.

2. I'm going to use that as my sig line!
Great quote arbusto!

My lifelong Democratic-registered grandfather ran away from home and lied about his age to fight in WWI. I have fond memories of him lecturing my parents on why they MUST vote Democratic. My parents were Democrats anyway, but Grandpa's political rants were always so funny that no one corrected him. Aside from that, he never really talked much. :D
