Buffalo Valley legal battle may force vets to leave town

Edward Mosley, a formerly homeless veteran, left his Terrier Way home of several months early Wednesday morning.

When he came back later, the locks had been changed.

Mosley is one of four Clarksville veterans housed in Buffalo Valley Inc. homes who are about to be homeless again.

An order filed on Sept. 24 from General Sessions Judge Ray Grimes ordered the Veterans Service Center, whom Mosley receives services through, to pay Buffalo Valley $23,834 to compensate for eight months of unpaid rent.

Following the court order, Buffalo Valley Director Jerry Risner gave the veterans until Oct. 8 to get out.
