Poll question: Will Admiral McCombover "say it to Obama's face?"
Edited on Thu Oct-09-08 02:15 PM by ColbertWatcher
The Old Fart has been accusing Obama of consorting with "domestic terrorist" Bill Ayers, but only during GOP campaign rallies.

When given the opportunity to ask Obama about it at the second debate (in Nashville, Tennessee) McCain failed to bring it up. However, when he went back to the campaign trail he picked the slurs up again.

When asked about by Charles Gibson, Obama commented that McCain should say it to his face.

Will he? Will Admiral McCombover "say it" to Obama's face either at the next debate or anywhere else?

1. Say what to his face?
Yours is the third post that talks about this subject without saying what he's supposed to say.

Very frustrating.

9. Thank you for pointing it out.
Sometimes I forget that not everyone watches the same TV shows or reads the same articles that I do!

3. MCain is too much of a coward, Palin, I think SHE might if she had the chance.
Because SHE's the Cheney of the pair, SHE wears the pants. And I think she is mean enough and shameless enough and BATSHIT CRAZY enough to do it.

I might be wrong, Palin might just be another Bushie Coward, too.

I can't believe I was fooled for so long by McCain. I probably would have voted for him in 2000.

Yes...I know.

I'm an idiot. :dunce:

6. Nope. Old Yellowstain prefers to tell his lies far from their target...
Preferably surrounded by a few thousand foam-flecked
supporters to help him work up his courage.

8. You can't tell the lie to the person who would most smoothly debunk it.
That's not the Republican way.

10. It's an interesting conundrum for McCain&Co.
The fact of the matter is that McCain *IS* a coward who finds it far easier to back-stab than levy well-founded criticisms to someone's face. In part, it's because he's so intellectually lazy/limited that he cannot mentally form a coherent and cohesive stance. He's limited to one-liners and shoot-from-the-hip crap. He's NOT a long-haul mother-trucker. Furthermore, he's 'wired' in a way that he cannot distinguish internally between 'opposition' and 'enmity.' He's in the Busholini mold where he equates discussion with agreement or approval ... which is why he's emotionally incapable of engaging in diplomatic interactions with 'enemies' ... which is what all opposition is to him. Thus, he works up his anger and animosity towards an adversary to the point it's a fight (to the death) rather than argument/discussion. At that point, he's likely to explode and lose it.

So... bottom line ... if McCain is cornered into actually confronting Obama with such accusations, he's HIGHLY likely to lose his cool (what little he has) and go off like an insane person. It'll be interesting.

12. Eugene Robinson is a VERY smart fella ... and easy to underestimate.
I've followed his stuff for years and he's ALWAYS insightful and autonomous. He's not one inclined to follow the herd ... but isn't a bomb-thrower, either. He's the closest to being 'wise' of the journalists I've seen. (He's got McCain's number, for sure.)

14. its a brilliant strategy. If McLurch bites Obama has a well crafted reply that could
be deadly if properly delivered.
