339! 339! 339!
It just hit me that's the "magic landslide number". Why?

Because then McSame is below 200. Psychologically devastating to have a tally of 3xx to 1xx.

I've seen pollster estimates of 336 to 368, but even 340 or so will give us final-tally charts like this on CNN:

Freeper heads will explode. :bounce:

1. I think 370 has been floated as a clear mandate number
But I like your idea- it's very close to 2/3 as well.

2. We're going to find out what a REAL mandate looks like
And it's very possible we might just have the Congress to enforce the mandate.

If so, I'll accept NO excuses. I want FDR or a reasonable facsimile.

7. In this divided political climate after 30 years of GOP propaganda ...
... we need more than just enough to get by to get by.

We need to overwhelm the freepers.

The win needs to be so big, they are finally forced to accept tolerance.

I know it will be hard for them, but I have confidence in evolution.

8. Yeah, but a Democratic landslide would be so sweet
I want Republicans to feel how I felt in 1984 when Ronald Reagan slaughtered Walter Mondale. I want a little fucking revenge. And I want to see our standing improve in the world and the economy improve and every Republican conservative ideology soundly refuted and completely TRASHED.

If I never hear of Sarah Palin again after November 5 (unless she or her husband is in a mug shot), I will be so fucking happy.
