116 ELCTORAL VOTES ARE AT RISK
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 02:24 AM by norepubsin08
VA, CO, OH, NJ, NM, FL, WI, MI are the states most predicted to have voting problems this time around. Most of it because of Republican manipulation of the voter rolls.

Please join the MICAH Project and America in Solidarity in taking part in this call to action:

The MICAH Project and America in Solidarity have declared October 1, 2008 as NATIONAL GUARANTEE YOUR VOTE DAY. We are ask all Groups, Churches, Unions, Student Groups, Blogs and Individuals that participate to commit to two courses of action; 1) confirm by phone, in person or online that you are actually still able to vote. There has been serious purging of the rolls, much of it done in major urban areas. Also the HAVA act allows for some purging if there has been a certain amount of inactivity by the voter. 2) commit to text, email, blog or phone all supporters/members/readers with in your network and ask them to take this same course of action. This election is too important to find out on election day when it is too late, that you are not able to vote!

This is a matter of justice. Integral voting is fundamental to the well being of our nation. With out it, we sink into chaos and anarchy. Let this election be decided by the people and not by machines, manipulation or voter witch hunts.

Endorsed by: The Center for Creative Journalism-Columbus OH, The Velvet Revolution Blog-Washington DC, Washington State Central Labor Council, GRE Consulting Associates-Whitefish MT, FreePress.com, Tacoma Dominican Sisters, Tacoma Branch NAACP among others. Participants include churches, union groups, blogs and individuals in 46 states.

What can you do? Endorse the project, check your vote, spread the word and most of all on November 4th... VOTE!!!!!!! and then enjoy victory!

For more information about this call to action or to find out if your voter registration is still valid please log onto: www.guaranteeyourvote.org or www.americasolidarity.org
