Two good things to come out of this:

Gas is dropping like a stone. Our paper in Kansas City said it will probably go under $3 here pretty soon. (due to drop in demand)

Obama is coming out on top in all of this mess.

As one Florida Republican said on the news last nite - "You would have to be crazy to vote for a Republican after all of this."

I know, I know. I am such a fucking Pollyanna. I even make me sick sometimes.

1. we have to find whatever bright spots we can, otherwise we just give up.

3. Isn't that the truth. I can't remember a more depressing time

and it has lasted 8 years. First that whole awful nightmare with the war and all the lies. And that Godawful shock and awe - knowing that all those poor people living there were dying.

And then this awful mess with the economy.

This has just been one long nightmare. I keep hoping I will wake up and it will be all better.
