Can We Please Get The Latin American Revolution Here??
Edited on Mon Mar-12-07 09:48 PM by BayCityProgressive
I am sooo sick and tired of our PATHETIC "representatives" in both parties!!!Our entire system is collapsing around us, and all the Dems can do is try to "embarrass" Bush! Some shitty non-binding resolution that never even got a vote in the Senate...no long fillibuster fight into the night like with the Republicans..I guess you only put that much effort into a bill if it makes some corporation money. Nothing fromt he first 100 hours signed into law..most of it is all just smoke and mirrors and will never become law. NOW THEY ARE TOO PATHETIC TO EVEN ATTACH DEMANDS TO A SPENDING BILL EVEN THOUGH WE ARE TRILLIONS IN DEBT WITH A FAILED WAR FOR EMPIRE!!!!!!!!!!! I just got off the phone with Senator Stabenow's regional director and he told me under no uncertain terms would she back any plan that would force a timetable on the president! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? NO IMPEACHMENT, NO END TO THE WAR WITHOUT END, AND NOW OUR PARTY IS KISSING THE AIPAC AND ANTI-CHAVEZ ASSHOLES ON THE FAR RIGHT. I am about ready for "21st Century Socialism". Chavez, can you please start a party here!?!

revolution in this country nothing will. Where do I even begin? Our government is doing NOTHING about Global Warming, Freedom of the Press is GONE, Patriot Act has stripped our civil liberties, 80 million Americans have no healthcare or insufficient care--meanwhile THE RICH HAVE NEVER HAD IT SO FUCKING GOOD, Millions of children are in poverty, women's rights and minority rights are being rolled back, we are in a war without end to expand empire that was based on lies, purges of all government officials who don't tow the line, more people in prison than any other country, installation of puppet regimes the world over, the biggest transfer of wealth from the working people to the rich in the history of the country, a functional one party state, ect ect..and to think..the first revolution was based on taxes being too high..

Trying to get anything accomplished with the corrupt system we have is like trying to make a silk purse ought of a sow's ear. It can't be done.

The people must get control of the means of production and start producing sustainable alternatives to fossil fuels, nationalize the pharmauceutical companies and the armaments industry. Then start a massive effort disarmament program.

6. In addition it must be understood
that all of the technology for these things has long been available. It is the fossil fuel industry, arms manufacturers and the welfare--warfare syndrome (the basis of modern capitalism) that subvert efforts to develop alternatives; keeping us on a course for extinction.
